Ass

Hey, things are ok... struggling with something to write.
I thought about a little rant on the Olympics; but the security forces might invade my home claiming me to be a terrorist or something. When, I'm just an average Canadian who thinks its all a huge waste of tax dollars. Wasn't the original intent for amateurs to compete in "pure sports" (running, jumping, throwing things, etc.), and I think they originally did it all naked? Whats with these "judged events" and pros that earn more in a year than most of us will ever make in a life time? I guess its just become entertainment for the masses (no different than dog races or keno). The only good thing, I see, to come of this 2010 olympics is my best bud is getting some employment from it all.
Now for something completely different...
I've been listening to Rodger Waters, he is brilliant. If you can, just put on one of his LP's and just let it envelop you. My favorite is 'Radio KAOS', its a bit dated but it always draws me right in to the story. I've found any of his music, each time I hear it, has something new to say.
Maybe my next post will be how I Fu*ked-up my ebay / paypal purchase, where I bought 2 of the same item and payed twice... "I sir, am an ass"

I Will be Worthy of it

I May not reach the heights I seek,
My untried strength may fail me;
Or, half-way up the mountain peak
Fierce tempest may assail me.
But though that place I never gain,
Herein lies comfort for my pain--
I will be worthy of it.

I may not triumph in success,
Despite my earnest labour;
I may not grasp results that bless
the efforts of my neighbour.
But though my goal I never see,
This thought shall always dwell with me--
I will be worthy of it.

The golden glory of Love's light
May never fall on my way;
My path may always lead through night,
Like some deserted by-way.
But though life's dearest joy I miss,
There lies a nameless strenght in this--
I will be worthy of it.

Its Sunday; either the end of a whirlwind week or the beginning of another one.
I thought I had a good topic to write tonight, but when I sat down to write... Blank! So enjoy the above poem, and may it be the inspiration to help through the upcoming week.

Time, Gentlemen, please.
